Is it worth rushing?

Currently a freshman at UT considering rushing next fall. However I’m most likely going to end the spring semester with a 3.2 GPA. This is alot lower than the average given on the UPC website so I was wondering if it’s even worth rushing? I feel like I’m going to get dropped immediately from a lot of houses because of GPA and while I would love the sorority experience I’m not sure I even have a shot.

Might as well try! Worse case scenario you meet people from your rush group that you probably wouldn’t have met otherwise

if they don't let you in because of grades there is always RHO

I’m in a sorority and never heard anything about GPA going through rush. There is definitely a grade requirement and we all work hard to keep grades as high as possible but a 3.2 won’t hurt you at all during the process!! I’d definitely consider rushing if I were you. Don’t get that be the thing that holds you back!!
