Opinions on Phi Psi?

If you truly want honest, unbiased opinions on any fraternity at UT, you won’t get that from this site. It’s a big mistake to allow anonymous voices, many who are either promoters, trolls or haters, influence your decision. Go check them and others out on your own and come to your own conclusions. This is about what group is the best fit for your needs and personality, not what the consensus is on this flawed site.

The idiot who posted the second comment is proving the point of the first poster.

Phi Psi has grown quickly. They were a very average chapter for years . A wealthy alum underwrote their new hose and having a beautiful new house they went from a 60 man chapter to 170 members.
Due to the quick growth they don't have the high quality membership found in the top 6-7 chapters on campus .
They do have members in Spurs but ... they are more like Pi Kappa Alpha in the selectivity quality of members thank Fiji or Sig Ep.

They have a larger chapter now, however, the quality of members is still just as low as before, they need to be able to be more selective with their members before they begin to advance in the rankings

Phi Psi lives on this site, another reason they refuse to improve

Solid fraternity with great guys. Decent sorority relations but can be better. Spurs, good size, outstanding house. Great brotherhood. Long UT tradition. Check them out to see if agree.

Although they are definitely growing each year they are kind of the joke of Greek life. Don’t get me wrong their house is beautiful and some of the bigger events they have are sick but people sort of see them as a fake frat. They have the highest dues on campus and their pledgeship is a joke. It’s incredibly short with no real hazing. All they make them do is wake up actives in the morning, clean, play paintball, and have mud races. Because they need to fill their house they are forced to take a lot of kids, so if you can pay the dues you can basically get a bid. That being said, they are a real mixed bag and I have a lot of cool friends in it.
