hazing?
by: RonBourbondyWho are some of the frats known for their hazing? Any stories or rumors you guys have heard? How about SAE? Im a legacy there.

had a pledge Fall off his balcony in 2006 or so. They weren't directly involved in his death, but they found indications that he'd been beaten with bamboo shoots and shocked with a cattle prod if I remember correctly. They ended up getting sued for some huge amount of money and just got off of a 5 or 6 year probation. Fiji is probably the only other house on campus who could have avoided being kicked off for something that serious. Half the fraternities at UT got kicked off for less in the 90s. Reputedly SAE's pledgeship is way easier these days, because even they couldn't get away with something like that again.
