What is the difference between PKT?

also does the rank order go Pi Phi Kappa Theta?? Why is it always PKT in that order

This is just stereotypes but the rank goes Theta, Kappa, Pi Phi

Theta: the ultimate top house and girls know it so they tend to be rude party animals. All gorgeous with great clothes though
Kappa: still super selective but these girls are usually more genuine and chill types. Not as much clout as Theta but still a top choice for more laid back girls
Pi Phi: really only considered a “top” house because of their history on campus, but they are definitely the house you pick if you don’t get theta or kappa. Because of that there really isn’t one defining vibe, but the girls are usually just happy to be included in PKT and are kind

it’s also impossible to get into these houses without strong connections, so do your research and get to know girls now and put your Instagram on public

Agree mostly w @stereotypes but think Theta and Kappa are pretty equal in terms of prestige and desirability. Theta is great and has a lot of very big personalities but does deal with reputation issues. They largely pull from the same cities/schools/camps which make it very insular in a sort of high school 2.0 way. That being said, they have plenty of off the radar/rando types (like every other house). Kappa has much more of a wholesome, good girl vibe and has a broader mix of girls from throughout the state (cities and small towns). Don't get me wrong....the majority of them grew up together and went to the same feeder schools and camps but not quite as much the of a "bubble" as Theta. Pi Phi historically has had a strong reputation but over the last 10+ years has become really divided. About 1/2 of them are the more traditional PKT types from the same feeder schools (mostly legacies) and the other 1/2 are really diverse.

Actually with the new push for diversity you would be surprised at all the 2nd tier girls in pkt these days. 5 years ago these girls would have barely made adpi or dg.

PKT putting in the work to make their houses look better than the others so they don't have to try hard during rush. Rankings at UT are just historic. It has nothing to do with looks, popularity, or anything else.

Actually the pool of girls from traditional PKT areas/families is smaller than before due to tough entrance requirements. PKT is splitting a smaller pool and is bringing in girls from other areas/backgrounds as a result.

PKT is actually the "my grandma knows somebody" crowd. Historically ranked top not current.

Why do you all post all that stuff about no one really wanting PKT? It ends up being so obvious during rush that it is just a lie. Many years Kappa and Theta have almost no girls cut them first round. Chi O is almost as tough-in fact big six in general has very few cuts first day.

Rush at UT is so competitive and houses keep girls that know they want them so people rarely have two PKT sororities on pref because once one finds out you still have another they drop you. All of PKT is top STOP trying to differentiate bc it really doesn’t matter. You’ll find your house during rush
