sorority recruitment help for fall

by: pnm2025

HI, posting again. I'm not sure where my last post went or I'd post again there but I'm getting ready for rush at UT and would like some general advice. My parents are getting me a rush coach as a graduation gift and a lot of you recommended hiking in heels and had lots of good tips (thank you!!). So I appreciate all the advice. I still feel like I don't have a handle on the party scene - and aside from that what else do I need to be doing on my own? What parties do I need to make sure I make it to? Will other sororities notice I'm staying with friends of other houses in Hardin House this spring, or am I just over-worried? TY in advance!!

what's probably happening is other pnms flagging advice after they read it so their competition doesn't see. it's a huge problem. or some sororities got into a fight and tried to get it removed because someone was triggered.

It's going to be ok!! my advice is to get ready soon - get a family friend who's greek, advice from all your friends currently in houses, and be sure to meet as many of their friends as possible. I didn't use a coach but my friend did and hers introduced her to girls at UT beforehand, so if that's your best option for help, go for it. Um in terms of parties it doesn't really help to just "go" it's more about knowing someone who invites you and takes you around to meet all their sisters that weekend. If you just go to a frat party on your own it's not really helpful and kinda a bad look. It sounds like you have friends living in Hardin right now - my advice is to take them up on their offers to come stay and then meet as many of their friends as possible. None of the other sororities will likely notice you're there or care. Plenty of girls come visit friends and then don't get a bid from that chapter anyway or chose to go something else.

unless you decline an offer from one friend at hardin for another friend at hardin that same weekend it's not an issue, go

a lot of recent UT grads from the various houses work for a rush coach here in texas now - my big works for one of them and made like 5k in a month.

So apparently all of my friends are getting rush coaches. Googled and found this. I hadn't even HEARD of this until recently so my mind is kinda blown, but it's Texas so I'm not that suprised. I obviously don't want to miss out if this is really a thing...when are girls starting to work w them? What companies specialize in UT rush? What do they help with?

hiking in heels is the only one that specializes in UT. I used them, was happy with how rush went. They helped with literally everything - I had no idea there was that much involved. Word to the wise - there's so much more to it than just RIFs due in May.

Wait, I want to hear more about the parties...are things happening in Austin over the summer? What are the good ones to come up to Austin for. Let's go back to that part of the Q in the OP...
