northerners and rush

I'm from up north and probably attending next year. Does that i'm from up north that big a deal with rush? like is it a dealbreaker when it comes down to getting a bid.
Or do they judge you like everybody else?
P.s. might be getting a house in the hamptons (yeah, i'm from long island)

Almost everyone has a house up there. You need something else to stand out or you are pretty much f-cked. Probably better off going somewhere else

not a dealbreaker at all. except you'll need a connect to get on certain rush lists. Fiji/SAE rush is basically done by the end of june
