fiji vs. sae?

by:

I will be attending UT in the fall, and come from one of the feeder high schools in Houston for FIJI and SAE. I know that I should rush both fraternities to find out where I fit in better, but I wanted to know what the primary differences are between the two houses before going into rush? Is one clearly better than the other, or just two different vibes? Can someone describe both fraternities' vibes?

Thanks. Hook EM

less secretive still old money. FIJI super secretive oldest money. FIJI is king on campus SAE is still a close second though. FIJI has way harder hazing.

SAE and FIJI tied dead even at the top. SAE more money, FIJI a few more small town guys. SAE is more of a country club vibe with ridiculous builds for their parties. FIJI is a more classic feel, less preppy, more outdoorsy. Both top top

SAE more partiers only. Fiji is party plus more. Fiji more liked and respected by all except maybe pi phis from HP. both good houses.

But Fiji is pretty much the consensus top house. Different general personalities.

Weird that people say FIJI is the top house when most of the HP guys go SAE. If you think of a stereotypical top tier rushee, you think of a kid from Highland Park, the richest area in Texas. Most of them go SAE, so I think it's kinda weird that everyone says FIJI is a bit better

Most of the HP kids that got both Fiji and SAE bids went Fiji. Just because more went SAE doesn't mean they had the choice.

I would give Fiji the edge

Fiji definitely has the edge. They've had a better rush the past 3 years. They are more well rounded and don't take guys from HP just because they are from HP (they have to be outstanding guys from HP). They also have great parties and are friendly to the girls at the parties. However, SAEs are good too.

Kappa sig is the only chapter that still maintains Southern White purity. Both fiji (mr. Chang tung) and sae (mr. Chae) have orientals which is not frat.

I literally can't begin to guess who wrote this. I highly doubt Kappa Sig would write it, and no one else would have any reason to aside from trolling Kappa Sig.

Ritual (google it) clearly shows they admire islam. Its the reason why they wear the STAR and CRESCENT. The ritual exhorts them to be zealous for KS like a moslem. Their words not mine. I'll stick with judeo Christian ieology and symbolism thank you.

If you actually read the ritual book like you suggest, you would see that isn't true. The Holy Bible is a big part of their initiation ceremony and it is opened to some passage from Joshua on their altar. So you're an idiot if you think that Kappa Sig is based in Islam.

Perhaps some Alabama redneck is trolling UT's site. Not a UT kid I feel sure.
