They both compete for the same girls. Most people consider KD/DG sister sororities. There are definitely different overall personalities in each one though and you can tell who acts more like a DG and who is more like a KD

I’m a DG, but I had both DG and KD on pref round last year and loved both, which is not at all uncommon. They’re very similar in that they try to recruit the same type of girls (smart, sweet, genuine), so a lot of girls end up choosing between them. I felt more at home with DG, but it was definitely a close decision. I would say go with your gut. Don’t worry about the “ranking.” I know everyone says this, but it’s more important you end up where you feel you belong than in a house that is “ranked” slightly higher. That difference in rank is not going to matter in the long run, and I’m sure you’ll have friends in both hoses. They are both great, and you really can’t go wrong. Congrats!!!

i’m not a kd but i can honestly say they have the strongest sisterhood. they’re known for their sisterhood but dg is great too! i have friends in both :)
