Does anyone know what houses participate in COB if they don't reach their quota?

It varies year to year. I would not count on that method to get a bid. Good luck!

The houses below chapter total (which is basically the average size) are eligible for COB. Total is re-set every semester. Whether they do it is up to the chapter. If a chapter is like 1-3 under total, they probably won’t do any cob events and will either skip or just give a bid directly to girls who are bff’s with actives.

We had 1 COB one semester and it went to a sophomore who lived with 3 other actives. She had never rushed but was basically part of that pledge class.

Chapters who are 10+ short of total will probably host invitation-only COB events a few weeks after school starts. If you are interested you can give your name to the Greek Life Office next week. If chapters are interested in you, they will contact you. There is no “open house” round like with formal rush.

Also, COB has nothing to do with quota. A chapter could miss quota by have a few but have enough returning upperclassmen that they were still above total. Or more likely, they make quota but are under total and therefore still eligible for COB.

It varies from year to year. You can contact all sororities and ask but it really helps to know an active to introduce you.
