How do I know if a house wants me?
by: HelpAre there any obvious signs that a house wants me? Like is there anything they will do Or say differently during a party for the girls they like?

there was a house that was all over me and treated me like the #1 girl of the party every time i went. and then they cut me... other girls who were treated like crap ended up getting bids from the same sorority.. all im gonna say. there's a lot of outside influences that can suddenly change the course of ur rush no matter how bad the girls want you going into rush

This. All it takes is one smack talker or naysayer to get a girl cut, even if the socially dominant girls like her. There are tons of other girls the chapter knows who are lined up for that spot.

You can’t be sure. I had friends at this house I really wanted going into rush. They were talking me up, and so during the summer girls from that sorority started to follow me on social media. During recruitment, I talked to very social girls, was treated super nicely, had the recruitment team and the president and talk to me, etc. I made it all the way til sisterhood round with them, but then I was cut before pref :(. It really sucked because I knew I had people pulling for me, and because I read too much into all of those “signs”. A lot of the time, rush is just a numbers game/pure luck. Good luck!!

They don’t even rlly have to be that cute. If rush team talks to you, if you talk to girls who have really good social skills (conversation is suuuuper easy), or they start telling you about their sisters they want you to meet those are also good things
