I'm scared of getting cross-cut

I am a PNM that is a legacy for a well respected house with a handful of connections. I am scared that because my sister and mom were in this house (my sister was at the UT chapter and graduated a few years ago), other houses will look at that and automatically assume I will go to my legacy house. Is there any way I can avoid being cross cut? How do I let chapters know that I am open to all houses & not just my legacy?

Honestly there’s a decent chance it will happen. It happened to me. All you can really do is make it clear to them if your really like their chapter

Absolutely yes to the comment above me. Just go in and be honest and say you’re keeping your options really open and that you’re not absolutely set on that house
