why do 800 girls only get bids? does that mean 400 will go bidless? Is quota not the girls who attend pref divided by the #of chapters?

800 is just around how many spots their are. Not an exact number, just a solid estimate off of previous years. 400 will either drop cause they aren’t happy with their remaining houses/ didn’t get the house they came in wanting and some will unfortunately be cut by every house. It really does suck and makes me so sad. But that’s why it’s important to remember how fortunate you are to get a bid in the first place and how amazing that makes the girls in every house. Quota is different for each house.

The diff between 1200 and 800 is mainly due to girls who drop because they had unrealistic expectations.

More Girls are going to drop out of rush this year just bc it’s online (not as embarrassing ) then re-rush as sophomore s

My guess is that pledge class size and overall numbers will be down .
IIRC quota was in the high sixties last year I’ m guessing we will be around 55-60 this year . Some house may be a little higher with quota additions.

Last year (2019) it was 53 freshman and 10 sophomores
