Kappa: pretty, sweet, rich, smart. That popular girl you knew in HS who was extremely wealthy, but really sweet to everyone. Mostly Dallas, which, in this case, just means Highland Park.
Theta: hot, rich, partiers. Not as nice as Kappa, but still a lot more approachable than Pi Phi. Lots of Houston Memorial and Lamar girls, also probably the most racially diverse of PKT. Recently involved in a few controversies...
Pi Phi: rich... Very snobby for no reason other than the fact that their mothers, grandmothers and two generations before that pledged Pi Phi as well. The girls in Kappa and Theta are just as rich and arguably much prettier.
Chi O: Tends to get PKT leftovers, girls lacking the (all of) right connections for PKT or girls that do have them, but just really would rather do anything than pledge Pi Phi. Split 50/50 between Party and Pray. Young life vibes. Kind of like Kappa’s little sister.
Zeta: Hot, probably the hottest. Pageant. People say they’re suburban, for some reason, but they get the BEST California girls, for some reason. Theta gets OC, but Zeta gets legit establishment LA private school girls.
Tri Delta: flies under the radar in big six. Very pretty suburban girls. A lot of OOS as well! Girls tend to be a lot more open than the rest of big six, but as a whole much more forgettable.

If a girl is “wealthy,” her parents are. Not her. It’s about knowing the right people and there are plenty of ‘normal’ girls in the mix in top houses. I’ve seen some girls’ parents go into debt to try and keep up with the Joneses, and others who live well below their means who used to own whole parts of Texas.
The obsession is silly and needs to stop. If someone can pay dues and fits in, it’s not an issue. This is how things currently are.

yes!! Being cut from some houses doesn’t mean they don’t like you as a person. You probably just didn’t spend ten summers at Camp Waldemar or you weren’t a Highland Belle / Memorial Cheerleader. Nothing personal about you!!

Yes they have before, but those girls typically go to private schools in town or know people through camp. As with any area. Plano more than Katy, and I think it’s because Katy is just so far out

It really is all about who you know and who is pulling for you. If you went to one of the big camps or an in town private school with girls in the chapter and they like you, they really don't care where you live.

I wouldnt say they're wealthy. Anyway theta has girls from pearland and flowermound so that shows you, like what the person above said, the area you live in doesn't matter if you have the other things going for you

I don’t think proud is the right word here... But it is really cool to pledge the same chapter of the same sorority that your mom, grandma, aunt, sister etc. pledged.
