Pre-Rush words of encouragement!
by: iloveyou
PNMs,
One week from right now you will be going through rush. It will probably be slightly overwhelming, you might be nervous, and that is okay. This is a new environment, and no matter how many family members and friends have told you about their experiences, every rush (especially this year) is different and your experience will be unique.
Please remember to take care of yourself. Sleep, eat, talk to your family, and check in with yourself. Every night, write down how you feel to get it out. Next week will be draining and you might need an outlet.
Don't be too hard on yourself. If you get cut, all that means is you weren't meant to be a part of that house. You will find a home, you will find a place where you belong. Even if greek life ends up not being your thing, UT is an amazing school with so many organizations and opportunities.
Follow your heart, not the ranks. Go where you feel you belong and remember that everyone you will talk to is probably just as nervous as you.
You are beautiful, smart, and capable no matter what. Don't let this make you question your worth.
I am sending good vibes to everyone who is reading this! You will end up where you are meant to!

So true! Don't even think about rank. Concentrate on getting in any sorority because they are all really good and competitive to earn a spot at UT. You will be friends and go to events with people in different sororities and we all do get along and respect each other despite a few troublemakers on these discussions who try to stir stuff up and probably aren't even in a sorority. Join the greeklife at UT anywhere you can You will not regret the amazing experiences, friendships and connections that you make in any UT sorority.
