UT email bans parties

by: Ban

UT just sent out an email that said they are banning parties and we will be subject to disciplinary action if caught. What is the plan now? Any social chairs or fraternity presidents have plans to prevent getting caught?

And city just said they would enforce any gathering over 10 people.
Waste of $ to go through fall recruitment.

Completely agree. Fraternity and sorority are a waste.

I’m already a sophomore should I pledge anyway? I don’t think any of the better fraternities bid juniors...

No bid day, no winter formal, no chapter (if no gathering over 10-no chapter) nothing.

Sanctions (including suspension) will be assessed based on the severity of the incident,” the announcement said.

For all ya’ll who think you can get over on it.

All talk. None of this bs is gonna be enforced. Nothing in Austin has been enforced this whole time, wont start now

Just call your gathering a protest and you can have as many people as you would like attend.

Actually I had this idea too. As long as we insist on calling every event a “political rally” and force everyone on the way in to wear masks and maybe hand out flyers for presidential or political candidates we have plausible deniability right? Like technically it is a political rally, it just so happens that there was alcohol and music to get young people excited about voting!
