Alpha Phi on Blast Again

Recently Univ of Rochester Alpha Phi chapter dissented from the wickeness of APhi Intl Leadership and how they recruit heavily on looks over scholastic substance. The chapter sent an open letter to the university as the first step toward reconciliation.

The policy began with collegians at the University of Arizona chapter. If you look at Alpha Phi's e-board and those employed by the international , you will see an over abundance of women from that chapter. They brought their face house membership selection to the international organization and have been rolling it out for years.

They’re fun and nice girls they just don’t rush girls the right way and because of that their sisterhood is weak and they had to resort to many COBs and spring rush. They only go off looks which doesn’t create a good house.

Hi yeah wrote comment 2 definitely not an alpha phi just have always liked how nice they are to non-aphi girls like me. It makes me sad to see everyone being so negative about them because it was a house I really loved during rush and I have lots of friends there now (who like I said, literally dgaf). I really don’t think they’re ever on here to defend themselves but it’s like any time someone does everyone automatically assumes they’re “self ranking” which is especially crazy to me when you think about the fact that they’re consistently ranked probably below where they should be

And what is rushing the right way? Embarrassing PNMs during recruitment? Giving them false hope then cutting them before pref? Treating all girls that come to your house like poorly unless they are the ones you want? No houses rush perfectly. All houses are great and hate on any sorority is pointless. We should have more positive Greek life and this site completely ruins that.

Ofc no house if perfect ✌️ Was just responding to the original post because yes alpha phi does have issues here rushing just on looks also. Not saying the whole false hope thing is right either

my friend had someone on aphi nationals text her mom giving false hope just to cut her- it’s not just their actives, it’s their deeply rooted lack of ethics on the national side too.

Super weird to me too. All the aphis I know are really fun nice girls who really just dgaf and are living their lives. All the hate I see feels really unwarranted because I know aphi has a pretty bad rep nationwide but the girls here are awesome
