Did anyone regret which sorority they ended up in?

You’re right. It’s all a bunch of nonsense. I’m not sure that most girls end up where they belong... I’m fine in mine, but really there is another I know I would have fit in much better with the girls. All same “top tier” status.

I think it’s pretty normal to wonder “what if” and think about having joined another chapter, especially if you had a lot of good options left that you liked. I had choices in every tier that I really loved, and while I did like my chapter freshman year, sometimes I wondered if I’d have been happier in one of the other houses. As I got older, though, and started living with girls in my house, I started to really love mine. I also realized that honestly, all the chapters have a mix of girls and with any of them I would’ve found a group of friends I liked. There’s so much worry about finding your “perfect fit” but I think that most people can find their place in any chapter. They’re not all so drastically different as this site would have you believe.

I really think that if you go into rush not concerned with statues or tiers then you will be more likely to find a house you really like. Some people end up in top houses and have a harder time making friends and are less happy

The girls I know who aren't the happiest in their sororities don't regret it, but they are considering deactivating junior/senior year just because it's not worth the money. They've made their sorority friends at that point.

I was excited about rush and really liked my sorority the first two months then felt out of the loop around thanksgiving and it has continued to decline. I will probably drop, I wish I had gone a different house but I think my sorority told the others to back off because I only had them on pref which was a bummer because I had not solidified wanting that house. Maybe I was cut from all the others? not sure, but seemed really odd.
