Sig Ep gets much trouble from it. The legal argument is a joke and will easily be defeated by a decent attorney.

The only punishment they'll get is from their nationals. It'll be hilarious if this puts em a step closer to having to do the balanced man pledgeship crap

Sounds like they served alcoholic beverages, and people went overboard. I'm not in Sig Ep, but that's something that could happen in the aftermath of any party.

The article didn't indicate that the person who abducted the girl was a Sig Ep, just that she got drunk at a Sig Ep party, passed out in the yard, and got abducted.

You don't have a clue how personal liability works. They are responsible for what happens to people on their own property. That is why they have personal liability insurance. DUH!!

How does she prove she was abducted at Sig Ep? For all we know, she blacked out, walked out of the party, and some guy hit on her and took her somewhere.

That's why this case won't go anywhere. Imagine the legal precedent if she actually won.

Yeah, it seems the only verifiable role Sig Ep played was serving alcohol. The girl may have been taken after leaving the party, and her account that she didn't leave is hardly reliable since she was blackout drunk.
