Awkward private school kids or public school kids that "think" they have money: Delt, Sig Chi, Pike, ATO

Those who have tons of $$, all the power to you. And those who help pay for your own dues, you're the types that will run your own fortune 500 company some day.

You do realize Highland Park is a public school, right? No, don't answer me, you don't.

And honestly there are houses zoned to Highland Park that are not even that expensive......I really don't get the whole fixation on money but the Highland Park thing really baffles me...many people live there to avoid the expense of private schools. So if $$$$$ is so important, then kids that live in rich areas AND go to private schools should be more highly sought, right? Oh well, money being so important is pretty sick anyway....so shallow.

Orientation advise:

If you are a cool kid, just not from one of the big feeder schools and do not not know very many people, you can still get a bid at a good UT fraternity such as Delt, ATO, Sigma Chi, or Pike so I would try and get your foot in the door at those places during orientation.

I see way too many kids that go to top fraternities parties during orientation with their roommates and such who never stood a chance and waste the opportunity to get their name out there at more realistic places for them.

Trust me, Fiji, SAE, SigEp, KSig have already contacted the people who they are interested in and will eventually bid. So you should already know who you are.

Do you think omicron has all their bids chosen? Also,is there any chance Ksig still gives out bids during orientation? Specifically the later orientations.

no top fraternities necessarily give bids at orientations. They are given out at Austin State which is usually the first weekend in August or at Fiji Island, SigEp foam, KSig rap the last weekend in July.
