new to greek life and in need help advice

So I really want to join a sorority but neither one of my parents or sisters was apart of Greek life, so I don’t have any of those connections. Also I have friends that are apart of top tier sorority’s already but I’m not super close with them to where I think they would put me on a rush list. I was wondering how I should make those connections because I don’t want to be stuck in not a top sorority.
