pace program at ut and rushing sorority

I’m going to be an incoming freshmen this fall (2020) at UT Austin and I’ll be participating in the PACE program, with PACE I am still allowed to rush, but it depends on the sorority and if they allow it. I’m completely new to Greek life, and really want to be apart of it, and I was wondering if anyone knows which sorority allows PACE participants and which don’t, and if any of the top 9 do.

i haven’t heard of a single sorority that “doesn’t allow it”. it might be a deterrent to like the ones that concentrate more on academics (dg, kd) but as far as i’m aware no one has an actual rule against it

Do you have lots of connections in the sororitys? I do think girls with lower grades start out with lower ranks. If you have lots of friends in sororitys, it probably won’t matter as much.

I actually have high grades with a 98 GPA, it’s just the major I applied to is why I got PACE, and yes I have friends in sorority’s but I’m not super close with them, and my parents weren’t apart of Greek life
