sig ep membership review
by: FactsNationals will be doing a comprehensive membership review of the Sigma Phi Epsilon chapter at the University of Texas in the coming spring. Source: I know a regional guy who knows what goes on in the Richmond headquarters. Nothing but bad publicity coming from the UT-Alpha chapter. Most of the guys will be gone before May 2020.

A lot of the danger comes from the new no-drinking rule because it drives a wedge in communications between the alumni and current brothers versus Sig Ep nationals. It forces people to be less than honest about other things too and that creates dangerous situations.
You can't sit on the porch and drink a cold beer but you have to say that you will let girls-transmen rush and offer them bids. You can't say the word "pledge" but you must say the Balance Man program is better than the Bible.
Different values.

Everyone posting on here is either over the age of 50 or from headquarters. You’re a miserable loser if you come home from your day job to post about 20 year olds.
There isn’t some cover up job, y’all think there is a conspiracy theory about everything. 99% of guys in UT Greek life are good guys who are working hard to make positive changes. The students have made ten times the positive changes a headquarters or baby boomer alumni ever will.

Unrealistic rules become trip-wires for threatening chapter expulsion. To think a freshman won't drink is unrealistic. To think fraternity rules will keep freshmen from drinking is unrealistic. To threaten chapter expulsion if a freshman drinks is self-destructive for the fraternity.

I don’t know if what the OP posted is true. However, he never said that someone from UT Sig Ep worked at nationals. Read it again.
