sig ep membership review

by:

Nationals will be doing a comprehensive membership review of the Sigma Phi Epsilon chapter at the University of Texas in the coming spring. Source: I know a regional guy who knows what goes on in the Richmond headquarters. Nothing but bad publicity coming from the UT-Alpha chapter. Most of the guys will be gone before May 2020.

Total false flag operation, you boomers. No SigEp brother graduates UT and goes to work for the national frat, they get real jobs.

by: Can you read?

I don’t know if what the OP posted is true. However, he never said that someone from UT Sig Ep worked at nationals. Read it again.

Who owns the house? Presumably the local housing corporation.
Omicron and Rho have proven you don't need the national affiliation. Looks like a divorce may be in the cards.

Irreconcilable differences.

I don’t think that is exactly true.
KA is better since regaining the national affiliation & Rho was better when it was SAE. My impression is that Rho would absolutely rejoin SAE if given the chance. Some parents will not let their kids rush the local groups due to the lack of “adult supervision.“

Someone deleted a great post comparing Sig Ep nationals to a housewife who's gone crazy and joined a cult.
They seem cultish. They just resigned from the national IFC and are determined to plow ahead alone.

Half of the Sig Ep posts disappear. Greek Rank is cashing in on UT Sig Ep & Nationals.

Alumni own the $5 Million house free and clear, no mortgage. They will decide what to do.

A lot of the danger comes from the new no-drinking rule because it drives a wedge in communications between the alumni and current brothers versus Sig Ep nationals. It forces people to be less than honest about other things too and that creates dangerous situations.

You can't sit on the porch and drink a cold beer but you have to say that you will let girls-transmen rush and offer them bids. You can't say the word "pledge" but you must say the Balance Man program is better than the Bible.

Different values.

It’s crazy that people defend them when girls are literally getting assaulted. And what’s crazier is that the only people defending them are sig eps. Insane.

Everyone posting on here is either over the age of 50 or from headquarters. You’re a miserable loser if you come home from your day job to post about 20 year olds.

There isn’t some cover up job, y’all think there is a conspiracy theory about everything. 99% of guys in UT Greek life are good guys who are working hard to make positive changes. The students have made ten times the positive changes a headquarters or baby boomer alumni ever will.

Sad to think that undergraduate dues from UT SigEp are being used by their nationals to wage a social media campaign on Greekrank against them.

My brother's Sig ep chapter had its charter revoked because they didn't support the balanced man program. They had highest GPA and highest recruitment on campus even with the pledge model. Success can happen without Balance Man and the no drinking law.

Unrealistic rules become trip-wires for threatening chapter expulsion. To think a freshman won't drink is unrealistic. To think fraternity rules will keep freshmen from drinking is unrealistic. To threaten chapter expulsion if a freshman drinks is self-destructive for the fraternity.

By: Destroy it to reform it.
by: Don’t pledge

If guys don’t like the Sig Ep rules, it seems like pledging a different frat makes sense. There are several great frats at UT & Nationals announced these changes a few yrs ago.
