what sorority should i pick?

I’m a senior from Houston and I haven’t gotten into UT yet and I’m not top 7% but I’m top 20% so I feel like I have a good chance of getting in so it doesn’t really matter. I need to know which sorority to choose to be in. I have lots of connections and I’m a Theta legacy at A&M so I’m sure I’ll probably just be one of them. But I wanna explore all my options before I choose one. Advice?

The fact that you are asking this question makes me very worried for you. Legacies don’t mean a lot a UT & getting into a sorority at UT is unpredictable. You don’t just “choose”. Also, getting into UT in top 20% will be very hard.

Mmmmmm, yeah, a&m is more likely for you. Texas has a 39% acceptance rate and A&M has a 69% rate. It’s gonna be very tough for you to get into UT even if you were top 10. And legacies? There are a ton of legacies dropped all the time. Means nothing actually.

It’s hard to get into A&M if you’re not top15% but it’s your best bet. UT’s probably not going to be an option. Either way, both schools have brutal recruitment and you’ll be lucky to get into any sorority so keep your options open. Grades are a factor in sorority recruitment and being a legacy helps but no guarantee. Legacies get cut all the time at both schools because there are so many!

Rush is much easier at Texas A&M. Not like Texas Rush at all.

maybe you should worry more about getting into ut than what sorority to choose. fyi, people that are top EIGHT percent get rejected from ut all the time. so good luck lmao

Most people at UT are top 7-8% unless you have outstanding SAT scores. Rush is easier at A&M plus it’s more the sororities picking you, your preference doesnt matter until pref night

The OP has got to be a troll. Nobody who is top 20% is that confident about getting in much less thinking that being an A&M legacy gets her into that same house here.

Two completely different types of houses. PKT is top at UT and barely mid at A&M.

Kappa at TAMU is top, Pi Phi and Theta mid. Theta very academic and not social.
