honest cuts

since rush is over can someone honestly say how cuts are made? some people say its the girls you talk to vote and other say its all up to recruitment team? im just curious because i was cut from houses on sisterhood where the girls and i really connected the whole week & i was shocked. Anyways good luck to everyone tomrrow!

Cuts each rounds are steep. Keep in mind that girls go from 6 houses to 2. You can have a connection but they and the pnms have to narrow down their list. It is hard but not perszonal. Know that the ones that had you for pref want you.

sadly girls in the chapter pretty much have no control on who gets cut and who stays, exec and statistics teams cut and keep whoever they want so don’t take it personally

It’s a hard process for the house and the pnm. Please don’t take it personally. The girl who talked to you probably did love you and enjoy the conversation. It sucks thst the houses can’t take all the girls they love. It’s a numbers game.

It depends on the house. Girls score you at some houses, and exec scores you at others.

We had to cut freshmen girls we all really, really liked with perfect scorecards. We vote but just don’t cut enough so rush team has to go back through and cut more. We had girls we had to cut every day that we voted to keep.

Honestly just a numbers game.

Re-rush as a sophomore. Whole different process and much easier to get in one. They don’t really get cut until pref bc everyone has to take so many, Plus you can go out all year and see where your friends are and know pretty confidently that you can get in there. Better than not being in one at all.

Yes it is. What part isn’t true? I am not saying drop a sorority you got in-being a freshman pledge in any group is definitely the best way to form the bonds and to get the most out of a sorority-but if you ended up out of rush it is a much easier process for sophomores. Girls that were dropped first round as freshmen often end up going Big 6 as sophomores. No one would disagree with that.
