snap bids // cob

Snap bids are given out the morning of Bid Day and you’ll still go to bid day. COBs are given out alter in the year. I have a few friends who dropped in the hopes of getting a COB. Everyone knows who the COBs are in the chapter and it’s kind of frowned upon by some. You won’t get the full Bid-day experience and sometimes big/little is later and it’s just awkward for the big cause usually they’ve already taken a little.

I don’t think you understand the meaning of COB. None of the top houses offered COB. A house can only offer COB if they fall under Panhellenic’s membership number, so none of them qualify for COB. Any girl who drops recruitment in hopes of COB is putting herself in a situation where SDT, AXD and maybe one other house are options. Alpha Phi would not be eligible for COB.
Snap bids are offered only if a house doesn’t make quota on bid day. A girl dropping recruitment may have only SDT as an option if all houses make quota. There are cases when some houses don’t make quota and a snap bid is available, but no girl should rely on this.

My daughter got a bid a couple hours after bid day ceremony. Was that a snap or COB bid? She was super excited and accepted
