Sig Ep a Dry House? Two things will happen....

1. They will reject this idea and their national will shut them down for not complying

or

2. They will accept this change and drop fast to bottom tier.

The Pretty White Girl (PWG) is going extinct.
They are America's rarest human species.
America's smallest minority group. đŸ˜‘

PWGs are @ 1 in 15 in this Spring's sorority PCs.
It was 1 in 3 ten years ago.

Take many pictures of them, so we can remember what they looked like... đŸ¦„

This is already in effect at their other chapters, last year. No problems. Lowers their insurance cost.

Get over it. They'll be fine. Still top tier.

In all honesty, if our ban on drinking was the sole reason a potential new member didn't want to join SigEp they likely wouldn't be a good fit for SigEp. Alcohol has become a central focus of fraternity life and we want to demonstrate clearly that SigEp's priorities lie with preparing our men to become confident, values based leaders.

It's not a "ban on drinking". You need to read the resolution that was adopted.

If "Lynn" is really with SigEp national, then they might as well shut down. A "ban on drinking" is not what their chapter reps voted for. Hopefully "Lynn" is a troll.

It's a "substance free house" policy, not a no drinking policy.

Will substance-free housing hurt recruitment and brotherhood?

No, but it might help prevent a Penn State incident. Insurance on fraternities is going to be impossible to buy if changes aren't made.

A lot of Universities have adopted these policies. It does have its down sides but it’s got a good purpose and is the way of the future with insurance as others said.

Their nationals should be more concerned about their hazing than their drinking....

Penn State's Beta had this same "dry" law and a person died because of it. Brothers didn't want to call 911 because they knew it would terminate their fraternity.

Tough facts.

It's a stretch to say he died because of an unenforced dry rule. I thought he died because of the alcohol hazing, dead drunk, falling down a flight of stairs, and remaining undiscovered at the bottom of the stairs. The last link in a chain of causes was the failure to call 911.
