Is having a legacy as big of a deal if your mom or sister were in the sorority but at a different university than UT as it would for legacies with mothers or sisters that went to UT?

Say the girl had the Mom or Sister that counted for 2 stars, would that still place the girl above another girl with no legacy?

No not necessarily, it all depends, there is no exact science. I know girls who didn't make legacy cut but probably would have made into the pledge class if they had not been a legacy.

PKT will cut legacies if you don't know anyone in the chapter, you didn't go to "the" camps and you're not from the right high schools. For them not to cut you in those circumstances, you'd have to have super wealthy well-known parents and a lot of alum support.
