I keep hearing that since I won't be living in Hardin I won't have any chance at a top house. Really????

That is wrong. All about connections. Girls in Hardin just tend to know girls in PKT.

Hardin is big with PKT but I know girls who lived in Hardin and dropped out of rush because of their cuts so living there is no guaranteed bid. And I know a few Pi Phis who lived in SRD.

You do realize most chapters at Texas are actually “top” material, don’t you? I would say things get different around DG but those chapters are still awesome, just not as concerned about status, previous connections or worldliness.

I can point out girls in AXD that hang with Alpha Chi. I can point out girls in PiPhi that hang with ADPi. There’s much more overlap then you imagine.

And as far as Hardin is concerned, yes there is a PKT vibe but there is always a group of Alpha Phi that live there. Two of their last three presidents lived there. And at SRD and Callaway, you’ll find most all sororities represented.
