It’s not LITERAL zip coding. It’s more of a long tradition of girls from certain high schools (Highland Park, Memorial, Alamo Heights, Austin HS) getting bids to certain sororities. And girls from the big suburb high schools (The Woodlands, Frisco, Southlake, etc) getting bids to other sororities.

The reality is that the top seven or eight sororities all have girls from Memorial, Alamo Heights, Frisco, the Woodlands and others. There’s a ton of overlap like never before.
And then you have the C team in every sorority like with Theta; those girls look like they all transferred in from other Theta chapters. You just look at them and wonder how???

You keep saying there is a ton of overlap. No, there really isn’t. Girls from suburban schools only end up in PKT if that particular chapter is having a poor rush or a girl knew someone in the chapter who pulled for them. Most get dropped after the first day when those chapters have to drop 800 girls. And girls from top areas only end up NOT in PKT if they get dropped by PKT....and often they were dropped first day by Chi O, Tri Delta, and Zeta on the assumption that they were going PKT. It is a rough process for everyone.
There is no reason to say stuff that isn’t true. Everyone will see how it works during rush week. Girls are put into their tiers by the chapters. Pref night is the only night PNMS really get to make any decisions and then it is usually between two houses in same tier.

What alums say or want doesn’t matter. It is all about girls in the chapter knowing and wanting you.

And honestly, these sororities aren’t discriminating by wealth. It’s just that rush is about connections. These girls are rushing their younger friends from their own schools. So those schools stay in certain houses. Any of the top houses are difficult to get without knowing girls in them already. That’s why certain sororities are known for certain areas
