ut frat rankings 2019
by: fratboiHey everyone, I'm an upcoming freshman at UT and I'm planning on rushing first sem. I'm an out of state student, so I don't know much about the UT rush process or the frats at UT. I'd like to keep my mind open, but all the frat rankings either have hella self ranking or they're complete bs. I was wondering what the rush process at UT is like and what the real frat rankings are for the upcoming school year.

It’s all super subjective tbh, every frat believes they have some sort of competitive edge, and ultimately it depends on what you prioritize. The rush process is pretty simple, but you gotta know which “tier” you want to rush. For rushing the upper tier ones, you at this point, should already know a lot of the guys and have connections with. Upper mid and mid tier are easier to rush later on, but they still do a lot of summer rush, contact the fraternities on their website if you are interested sooner rather than later. Sorry in advance if people see biases
Upper Tier (in order): Fiji, Sigep, Rho, ZBT/KA, Delt
Upper mid (in order): KSig, Sigma Chi, Sammy, Phi Psi/Pike
Mid (in order): Lambda Chi, Beta, Pi Kapp, Phi delt, DU
The only difference I see between mid and upper mid is that upper mids have more money, a nicer house, and “better” sorority Relations. The remaining 10-20 fraternities are pretty irrelevant and they are super easy to rush.

This is all pretty accurate with the exception of Delt being upper tier. They’re definitely behind Kappa Sig and arguably Sigma Chi (depending on your sorority) at least from a girl’s ranking perspective.
