It is for some. Not for others. It all depends.

It'll more than likely limit your options a bit, but lots of people get bids as sophomores.

I'd say it's imperative to have a good GPA coming in, especially if you're a girl

If she's transferring in then she already has a good GPA.

There's a sophomore quota but honestly you really need to know a lot of girls and have people to fight for you in most houses. It's not really any different than being a freshman like that. You also need to have your recs and letters of support and be involved. Some houses don't use or fully utilize the sophomore quota so don't depend on that.

If you haven't gotten any bids yet you're already done

Only a handful of fraternities give out all their bids over the summer.

Ignore "Bro" he seems negative. There are plenty of bids to hand out.

Phags who troll this site think they are the only ones anyone wants to join, and think every Rushee wants to be them. Don't listen to this guy, he's just commenting on his own post.
