This is absolutely correct. Wear what you want and feel most comfortable with. No one's going to cut you for it, and if they do are you really looking to be in a house that cuts girls based on their personal style?

Cotton is fine but I'd stay away from strapless. Don't want to be pulling and tugging on it to keep it in place when you're running from house to house.
