non big 6 sororities
by: pnmI am a pnm and am going into UT as pre-med. I know it’s going to be really rigorous to get into med school and am going to be really busy with that. For that reason i think i would prefer to be in a non-big 6 sorority. I really want to focus on being involved on campus and getting a good gpa (while still going out with my friends and having a social life). do y’all have any recommendations for sororities. ??

what?? Big 6 or not has nothing to do with the time commitment for a sorority. If you want a sorority known for being more focused on academics that’s probably KD, DG or ADPi, but there are girls who focus on school and study hard in every sorority. It’s UT.

Fall 2018 sorority grade rankings are out— the top three were KKG, Aephi, and ChiO, in that order. Two of those are big six! Can’t remember the rest but a lot of the big 6 sororities do fairly well in grades. Pretty sure DDD had a fairly high GPA as well. You can make good grades AND be in a good sorority. Don’t limit yourself

Are you insinuating that non big 6 are not good sororities?? You’re an idiot if you are. First of all, Tri Delta is barely big 6 these days but still a good house. Secondly some of the prettiest girls are in Alpha Phi and Alpha Chi. Thirdly, the only thing that differentiates the big six sororities from the others is the number of girls that have connections. Every house has connections and legacies but big six will have more.

All but one of the UPC sororities had a chapter GPA of 3.4 or above for last fall. Seven of 14 had a chapter GPA of 3.5 or above.
