legacy

I’m a Legacy in one of the top six houses. Do most legacy get a bid?
I’ve heard, it’s very competitive. Is there a certain % of legacies you have to take?

My mom went to A&M, I was hoping all legacies get a bid.

of those chapters have enough legacies going through to fill a pledge class....no kidding. They HAVE to cut. Last year rumor said Pi Phi had over 100 legacies going through and I am pretty sure UT legacies were all that mattered. Don't worry though, I am an A&M legacy for one of those also and rush went well for me. I did have connections though which I think mattered much more than the legacy.

There are loads of legacy from every house. Nobody cares that much. You go where you fit in.

I am a member of a PKT. We have cut a double Texas legacy (mom and sister) in the past who didn’t have enough connections since the sister was quite a bit older. Being a legacy gets you a closer look, but it’s not an automatic bid.

Legacies don't really matter at UT unless you have a sitting sister. I was a legacy for a top house here and ended up at a completely different house. Connections are what really matter.
