round up gear?

why do sororities sell round up gear with their letters on it to people who aren't in their sorority? aren't you not supposed to wear a sorority's letters if you aren't in it? doesn't really make sense to me

they sell them to boys so they'll wear it and rep their sorority. round up is a huge dirty rush event. if you see hot guys wearing a certain sororities gear chances are your more likely to want to be a part of that sorority

Round up is NOT a dirty rush event. Most sororities will blacklist girls for going to round up as incoming freshmen. If you are an incoming freshmen, don't go, its not worth the risk. There are plenty of parties you'll be invited to over the semester but do not go to round up.
