Nationally theta is not that great! I’d put them lower

Tri delt is not at the top. Pi phi, Kappa, DG, Chi O and arguably Theta are all considered better nationally honestly

Nationally, strictly from a tier standpoint, Kappa and APhi are the strongest. Kappa and APhi are the only 2 that are strong all over the nation, across all regions. They are usually top tier or upper mid tier at worst. I have only seen them bottom tier if they are new and then, it's only temporary. I know there's a lot of jealous hate for APhi right now because they alone have a uniformly attractive look no matter where they are. I'd say elite is Kappa's national brand. Hot is Aphi's national brand.

PiPhi, DG then Theta are prolly the next strongest in all regions.

The other big ones are strong only in multiple regions but not all regions (DDD, ZTA, ChiO).

Some are hit or miss in all regions (Gamma Phi, AXO).

Some are only good in the south (Phi Mu, ADPi, KD) but bottom everywhere else.

These bigs ones are usually bottom but have a few solid chapters here or there (AXD, AlphaGam, AEPhi, SDT, AOPi).

Some are big but still usually bottom with that rare top chapter (SK, DZ).

These are always bottom (DPhi, PhiSig).

These are typically only at small schools (TriSig, ASA, TPA, AST)

I agree on this! I might take DG and Theta and put them down with Tri-Delta and those chapters.

Shocking another post turned into a commercial for how Alpha Phi is top tier. This is the south and Alpha Phi only has a few strong southern chapters but not at the same level as the "Big 6". Chi O, PKT, Zeta and DDD are generally tops everywhere in Big 12 and SEC. Nationally DDD and Zeta have the strongest philanthropies and that is significant as you become an alumni.

I think the rank by here it is looks right. Especially ZTA and ChiO. We’re just so used to them being great in the south but we sorta forget the rest of the country.

So funny to see the APhi hate. triggered much?!! And same for trying to run down Kappa, my gosh. Trying to pick out a state where they may be meh.

I see how both are very strong just about everywhere. Just about!

Disagree. Tri Delt is weak everywhere but the south and Texas. So is ZTA. So is AXO. Theta and GPB are strong everywhere but the south. Pi Phi is spotty everywhere but Texas. The others are pretty true.

Is Alpha Phi strong in the south or at many top schools? I think they are good nationally but I would not say up with Kappa. I actually think Kappa is probably top with Pi phi right behind nationally. Then I would agree with DG, Theta, and add Alpha Phi at that level. DDD and Chi O next with Zeta after that. You nailed the rest.

According to Greek rank, if you look up schools like Penn State or USC or Virginia and those types of schools, alpha Phi is always in the top. In the south they are good but not top. Even at Ole Miss they seem to be moving up pretty quickly despite being so new. I agree that Kappa and Alpha Phi are strongest

Let’s do our own research for a Phi in the south. I see they are top or upper mid every where else in the country.

They are top at North Texas.

They are upper mid at Texas and tech, Oklahoma,

Middle at LSU, Clemson

Low mid and new at Alabama,

They are very good/bottom of the top/top of the mid at Florida state

Bottom and new at Ole miss, Georgia, Florida,

Yeah, if the south is their weakest, theyre in really really good shape nationally. I mean, their southern chapters as a whole are absolutely fine.

How is Alpha Phi at any of the top 20 schools?

By: At
by: Honestly

I went and looked. Out of the top 20 USN rankings, there are 12 schools, I think, that have APhi chapters. I am including Harvard, because I know they banned Greek life unless it became open to both genders, but APhi rechartered there to join a lawsuit against the university. I just looked quickly, but I would say 3 or 4 of the top universities don't have Greek life. Examples are Notre Dame and Rice. Cal Tech too, I think. All the chapters I saw were mid to top. Most were upper mid to top with a couple of low mids. They actually have a pretty impressive showing at those schools. I would say Theta, PiPhi, Kappa, DG, and APhi have the greatest showing at those schools, but I DID NOT count all of that. I also consider Chi tops, maybe Tri Delt. ZTA is strong but not everywhere, but they might squeeze in the top also

??what top 20 schools are you talking about? aphi is in all the good schools

Berkeley

texas
Indiana
Illinois
UCLA
ucsd
wisconsin
north carolina
harvard
cornell
dartmouth
yale
upenn
duke
washngton
georia tech
wash u
syracuse
hofstra
rensselear
stevens inst
and more

not to mention they are at all the big (dumb) schools like OU, Bama, LSU, Ole Miss, Georgia, Florida State, Mizzou, Kentucky, UConn, Wash State, AZ, AZ State, Oregon, Oregon State, Wash State, Wyoming on and on and on

like go to their website. They are at Pepperdine, Colorado School of Mines, like everywhere.

On greekrank, they are usually top with only some upper-middle tier. They "suck" only in the south and only if you consider their new chapters. Even at Bama where they are very new, they have passed some bottom dwellers already.

I will add that aphi is top most of the time on that long list of good schools, sometimes upper mid but mostly top.
When you take time to look their stuff up, they actually kick ass.
Honestly, I had no idea they were that strong outside of the west coast. Good for them!

Here is Alpha Phi's weakest region (the South)

Top at North Texas
Bottom of the top/upper mid at Florida State
Upper mid at Texas, Tech, Oklahoma
Middle at LSU, Clemson
Bottom of the middle at Alabama
Bottom and new at Ole Miss, Georgia, Florida

That ain't bad

Well you can say that all you want but that’s not what the Greek rank stuff shows. The old discussion threads.

But it’s OK. You can deny all you want. Sounds a little like you can’t except reality.

It’s called actually knowing Greek people at FSU. Aphi is lower mid there, stop spreading lies to people on here to try make your sorority seem better than it is.

Interesting. I have never heard them listed as one of the elite nationals, but I have heard their alums are really working on improving them nationally. Honestly, I have no idea how they are nationally.

By: Hmmm
by: idk

just based on greekrank, looks like Aphi arrived some years back and passed up a bunch of orgs that rested on their laurels. we here in texas wouldn't be aware of it other than to see the texas chapter rise. this overall movement can't be recent, like in the last 2 yrs, all of sudden they are top or upper mid just about everywhere. that had to take some time.

i'm not saying greekrank is the end all to everything but for better or for worse, it is the pulse of the collegiate chapters and per greekrank, Aphi is top more times than not outside of the south. amazing

Capitalizing on their nationwide top/mid-at-worst success, here is the APhi strategy for the South, their only "weakness":

Remain top at NT.
Remain strong at Florida State, Texas
Continue rising at Tech, OU, Alabama.
Hold their ground at LSU, Clemson.
Get strong at Georgia, Ole Miss, Florida, Baylor

THEN they will revisit A&M. After that, they wait for SMU.
