One of the most competitive in the country. Lots of PNMs get completely cut before preference. Keeping an open mind is a must. All groups except for SDT are very selective. As far as PKT is concerned, if you have the right connections and background to be seriously looked at then you already know it.
And for chrissakes make sure you have letters of support for all chapters. If you don't you will be dropped from that house after open house.

Believe it or not, any kind. It has happened to the best rushees while average girls get picked.

what I can tell, it happens to two kinds of girls: girls who didn't prepare well, didn't get recs, didn't get the right outfits, etc., and the second group are prepared rushees who might be very strong candidates, but who aimed to high and just ended up not leaving safety houses or something. The second group just kind of falls between the cracks by accident, the first didn't prepare for the brutal process. Suffice it to say you're still pretty lucky to be in any UT sorority.
