I’ve heard that the smaller frats like DU LXA and Phi Delt end around March/April for Spring rush and Thanksgiving break for Fall rush.

When a young man joins SigEp, he discovers something unique. Through the Balanced Man Program (BMP), he immediately becomes a brother. The BMP eliminates pledging from the chapter experience, and puts an emphasis on continued development throughout college and beyond.

The Texas Alpha chapter of Sigma Phi Epsilon has a long and proud history of leadership on the UT campus. From its founding in 1930 to today, the chapter has demonstrated its ability to challenge community norms and remain true to its values. And now comes a new challenge: embracing a substance-free chapter house policy, and re-committing to the Balanced Man Program to be a valued partner in the mission of UT.

Question: Does “self-paced challenges” mean SigEp doesn't have new member “classes?”

Answer: Self-paced means we do not hold up someone’s progression through the challenge because of the actions of someone else. Simply put, when a brother has fulfilled all of his requirements, he moves on to the next challenge within the Balanced Man Program.

Balanced Man "Sound Body" Programming

One of the things our chapter prides itself in is Intramurals. While this is not the perfect answer to ensuring that members have a "Sound Body," it is a good start. Our chapter regularly holds basketball games on the chapter's private court. Furthermore, our chapter is involved in numerous outdoors activities like camping, water skiing, and Hatha yoga.
