sae transfer

I'm transferring to UT in the fall and I'm an SAE at a top university on the west coast. I was wondering how it worked if you automatically would be a part of the brotherhood or whether I should re-pledge. Thanks

You won't find a top fraternity that will accept affiliates besides for maybe sigep

What do you recommend I do? Disaffiliate from the fraternity and go into rush with a clean slate or suffer through the next three years as a geed because I couldn't get into the fraternity which I am already initiated in..

any top fraternity would take a solid guy from another strong chapter. If SAE, for instance, didn't take a guy from their Bama chapter that would be pretty ridiculous. Could be wrong, but I'd hope big four would have the common sense to take transfers from top chapters of their own fraternity.

I doubt they'll let you automatically be a brother, and Im not sure whether they'll even let you re-pledge. If you were an SAE at a school with a strong chapter in the south, it may be a different story, but from the west coast, not too sure.
