So not true. Every girl I know has close friends in other sororities, and other than the week of formal recruitment there really isn't any competitiveness.

So true!! Girls form friendships with girls in their freshmen dorms almost as strong as their sorority bonds from Hardin and SRD for sure. Probably others also bit it is really obvious in those two. I personally think it is really neat how they run around together in groups and which sorority they are in doesn’t matter.
