This is not surprising, the majority of fraternities at UT through their national organizations are members of the North-American Interfraternity Conference (NIC) who at their annual meeting this year voted to ban hard liquor by Sept 1, 2019 "in an attempt to stem the rising number of alcohol-related deaths among fraternity pledges". “Nearly all hazing and over-consumption deaths in the past two years have involved students consuming high-percentage alcohol beverages,” the group said in its announcement. The Conference felt it was critically important to act with one voice to effectively implement an industry-wide standard.” I applaud the UT IFC for getting out ahead of this issue.

I actually agree. We all take the hit because a few people messed things up. It isn’t right. And nobody has to have a drinking problem to see that.

@wtf “same liberal thinking” do you realize how ignorant and stupid you are sounding right now? comparing seatbelts to alcohol and hazing...again,do you REALIZE how ignorant and stupid you’re being? if it bothers you SO much then just go to 6th st and drink all the liquor you want or do it at home you cry baby
