fiji vs. sae

by: ATX

Which one do y'all like more, who's better, and what would y'all say are the main differences between the two. Is it just that the kids come from different areas/high schools or is there a pretty big difference in the guys that join the two?

There are drunks in every frat, not just SAE.

Fiji is the strongest house in the state overall probably, SAE is probably number 2. Once Fiji's house is done however they'll be undisputed number one at UT.

Fiji, K Sig, SAE and Sig Ep all got good pledge classes but the consensus is that Fiji's is the best.

Not sure what your definition of "better" is but Fiji did get an unbelievable pledge class. The guys are smart, good looking, from great schools and just overall well rounded for the most part. However, I'm sure some of the other fraternities got great guys as well.

The Fiji 2013 pledge class dominated over everyone elses. Yes, Sig Ep, SAE and K Sig had good pledge classes but as far as looks, brains, money and overall cool guys Fiji won top honors. I know someone who was dead set on pledging SAE but when he saw the guys that were going Fiji he jumped ship. I am a female PKT
and hang out with all of the above. This is an unbiased observation.

I understand what you are saying, but I think HUNDREDS of quality guys from all over the state of Texas and beyond pledge fraternities at UT. Fiji can only take 50 or so (including their standard 10 from ACC). So, you may love them, but I don't think any chapter "swept." It's a matter of personal opinion, and I see many, many sharp good looking frat guys at UT.

The only difference to me between top and middle tier kids are sometimes a little money and occasionally middle tier fraternities take a few more oddballs. Otherwise, they're essentially getting the same quality guy for the most part.

Money is a huge difference between top tier and middle tier. Sure there are rich kids in middle tier, but there aren't middle class kids in top tier and the majority of middle tier come from upper middle class families.

I know lots of middle class boys in SAE, I think it's good that they're open to taking them.

Thanks for clarifying that you are a female PKT... I know some of y'all can be a little manly.
