DO NOT COUNT ON A SNAP BID. THEY ARE RARE. Any chapter that did not match to quota after pref can offer snap bids to get them up to quota. Snap bids are only offered after bid matching and before bids go out by a personal call, and girls who are snapped participate in bid day with everyone else. PNM's who completed at least the first round and ended up either dropping out or being unmatched after pref are eligible. If a house already released you from their recruitment, they are not going to turn around and offer you a snap bid. Someone who did not continue in recruitment but who still had houses left might get a snap from one of those houses, or someone who suicides after pref and didn't get matched might get a snap from the house she didn't rank. If you still have houses left, a snap bid is not going to get you anything better than what you have right now, and a house has to not make quota to be able to snap bid. Again, nothing to count on.

Snap bid are not worth wasting any pnm’s thoughts and time on. If you have invitations to Pref, spend ALL your time & energy on those, not your chances of getting the “unicorn” of bids to a house that already released you.
In order to give out snap bids, a chapter has to not make quota during bid matching. That chapter can then extend “snap” bids to any pnm or unaffiliated undergrad before Bid Day starts. If they “snap” to quota, they are then counted as making quota. This is how so many rumors start every year about who snapped, but the truth is they are VERY rare.

You have to maximize options to qualify for snap bid. So someone who suicides is not eligible.
