I wonder who’ll get the ATO house

Alumns are currently trying to raise funds to save it and hold onto it while ATO is gone. I doubt they will raise enough since it’s a lost cause.

Better question is - who would want it? It's a 60 year old house 1 mile from campus...

At least it’s still west campus. Better than being out in the boonies where delt is.

That location barely counts as West Campus.

How long will they be gone? Would be hard to afford it for long.

Why are they "gone", if SAE is theoretically back under the "Rho" name? Why can't something similar happen with ATO?

It could, just depends on how much alumni support is there. Looks iffy if it hasn't happened by now

They won’t have the alumn support. ATO was a strong mid tier frat once it came back after burning down their house, but there weren’t very many years of that mid 90s-early 00s, so they just don’t have the same number of alumni that other bigger frats like SAE has. Red McCombs is an alumn, and obviously he has the funds, but I think he got fed up with them making stupid decisions a long time ago.

My money is on Beta buying it if they can ever raise enough (unlikely). It’s their house originally and I’m sure they have a lot of alumni that are attached to it that are willing to shell out, the question is whether it’ll be enough?

I agree the betas have the greatest desire to get back their old house but realistically they don’t have enough alumni support to come up with the funds. The seller also knows there’s a nostalgia pull so they’re most likely jacking up the price. In this day and age there’s less and less patience and tolerance to fork over serious time and treasure to young guys who have the natural propensity to piss it all away with one serious incident .
