can someone explain what happened with ato / phi delt

I'm rushing around a little and have met a couple ATOs through high school and they're pretty cool. I know they got kicked off, but some of my friends are saying they're still gonna be around? How does that work?

I think they merged with PhiDelt but off the books
That might get them in trouble again, who knows

Would have to be off the books. What does it really buy either group though. I guess ATO gets social events. Wouldn’t Phi Delt be better off on their own?
