how many pnms rushing this year?

does anyone have an estimate as to how many pnms will be going through recruitment next month? I saw somewhere that less than 800 are registered at the moment. is that typical for UT? also, is it better for there to be a lot of girls rushing so there are more open spots for the more desirable houses, or is it easier when there are fewer girls going through because there isn't as much for the houses to pick from?

Usually about 1000 register - quota is based off of how many girls go to pref -
