2018 rush
by: HelpDuring rush week (specifically, the 1st 2 days), how do you know if a sorority likes you or not? I have heard some will separate you by specific rooms, etc.

Me too! How do I know if other chapters are liking me? Is everyone being invited out for orientation parties? I went out with a sorority I really like but I like several others too. Did I ruin my chances by going out with another sorority

I have heard that before but I have such a hard time believing it because how could anyone possibly know? I do think Pi phi, Kappa, and Theta rush the same 150- 200ish girls and they are pretty much down to those girls pref night plus the few girls that one of three specifically had a connection to. So if one of them has a weaker rush or pref night than other two they might come up short and have to snap bid or not be as preffed. I also think it has sounded like Theta has had a really great couple of years and would not be at all surprised if most of the people who went to their pref night preffed them over other two.....so guess it could happen. But 13? Sounds like a rumor to me.

How do you know that Theta/PiPhi rush the same 150 girls? The same way @truth knows that only 15 girls pref them? Go away, grandma! Please, someone post about a different sorority!!

Doesn’t know that? How many girls are in Hardin? That is who they are rushing. Not a mom who wants her daughter to be a Theta btw.

@who, you have to be a mom because your comment shows your stuck in the 80s. Ladies, Hardin House is not the only dorm that PKT gets girls from!!! Or any other sorority for that matter!! Silliest comment ever!!

There were like five Kappas elsewhere this year.....don’t think any pi phi’s or thetas lived anywhere else

First off- @youknow sounds like someones mom-and probably a mom who wants her daughter in Theta. You don't know what you are talking about. Secondly, PKT are great sororities, so are all the others, but from some of the comments on here, you would think it is PKT all the way at UT, and it is not like that. The lady who made the different world comment must be someones mom-none of my friends would ever say that. My suggestion is to be yourself during rush and be open to all the houses at UT, and you will find a great sorority. Rush is hard, and quite frankly, it is a hellish week but it is worth it once you find your home!

Summer rush is clearly breaking the rules. All of them do Spring rush too but you aren’t supposed to be on silence then. But whatever. All chapters have good and bad that can be said about them
