frats with moderate dues?

by: 6dsp

Looking to rush, but I don’t want to waste my time on frats I won’t be able to afford. What are the best frats with dues around 5k to 6k a year? Preferably frats that like to have fun, have a decent house, and are actually relevant.

With 5-6k I guess pike and ato but ato is gone and pike is gonna rebuild their house. If you spend a little more maybe Delt. Or explore options like pikapp or lamdachi for like 4k a year

You know if Phi Psi’s dues are around that range? One of my friends told me that their dues were going up bcuz of their new house.

Phi Psi dues are around 500 (close to 7k a year) a month and rising. Not worth the dues AT ALL.

You mean get ripped off a little with a bottom tier or a lot by a top tier fraternity.

" Inner Chapter Fraud " is the biggest risk to our UT Greek Chapters. Chapter Officers are finding it very easy to skim the budgets for their personal use. We must require Chapter financial audits each semester for a UT Greek Chapter to remain in good standing.

Anyone know Delt’s dues? Are they cheaper than the other frats in the “lower top” and “upper mid” tiers?

The semester dues for each IFC fraternity are posted on the UT Greek website.

those are mostly outdated. some frats don’t even put their dues up. from what I know,
phi psi is around 7-8k a year
delt is 6-7k
pike is 5-6k, but that’ll go up after their new house
ka is roughly 7k
machi is 6500
zbt is around 6k
as for sig ep and fiji those probably top out around 9-10k a year

Thanks for this updated information. Not trying to discourage anyone from joining a fraternity but, if you join one, it will be a significant financial obligation. Consider the monthly/semester dues the absolute minimum that you (or mom and dad) will have to pay just to stay active.
There will be more costs involved than just the dues. If you are considering a fraternity and think you may struggle with this significant financial obligation, think long and hard before you commit - especially if a big reason you are joining is for the parties. You can throw several pretty good parties on your own each semester for $3000.
