what's the deal?
by: WonderingIt sounds like affiliating to a sorority as a transfer student to UT is a little different than other universities. Are some/most/all girls not given a chance to affiliate to all/some sororities here? What if she left a sub-par chapter b/c she might fit better w/ an upper teir chapter (does not apply to me, but I am legit curious)? How are other states viewed when it comes to transfers?

an answer to the question per se, but at least that describes the attitude toward transfers. Sounds like transfers should not expect to be welcomed to affiliate w/ open arms; transfers are generally frowned upon as inferior individuals, who threaten to bring down the image created by girls chosen for rush. In some ways that's understandable, but in other ways it's really sad and reprehensible. The only letters that matter on this campus are UT letters.
